Olivia Luv Bake Shop is a small business founded by me, Olivia Rosenfeld, at the age of thirteen. I came up with the idea in October of 2015 when my mom’s friend asked me to bake for her luncheon and offered to pay me for the job. This was the moment I realized that I should start a business.
All I did from that moment until early 2016 was claim that I had a business, but did nothing to build it. Eventually, I forgot about the idea. But during a conversation with my Grandma at the end of Winter Break in early 2016, the idea resurfaced. This time I was serious about it.
The first thing I did, after hand drawing my logo, was order edible glitter. I wouldn’t recommend this to new entrepreneurs, but I was so excited to make my treats the most extravagant on the market. My business was doing pretty well in 2016, and at the end of the year I donated 20% of my profits to three charities: the ASPCA, the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and the ALS Association. I chose the ASPCA because of my love of animals, I chose MSKCC because my Grandfather was a patient of that hospital, and I chose the ALS Association because my Grandma suffered from ALS.
What sets my company apart is having the most decadently decorated cupcakes on the market, each dozen unique. We are a company that pours our heart and soul into each batter, dough, and frosting. We love helping others, and your support allows us to continue fulfilling this mission.
